Dining with style!
This post is in: News
This beautiful dining room combines contemporary elements such as the console, cabinet and oil painting mixed in with sumptuous, copper velvet curtains and dark walls.

The mirror and oak cabinet were sourced from Julian Chichester and the large, striking painting is by my tallented niece Kirsten Rich!

The curtains made from Zoffany Curzon velvet with an unusual inverted pleat heading have been embellished with rows of plum coloured velvet braid from Osborne & Little and a plum coloured silk binding to the top.The ‘French Poles’ were hand crafted by a local blacksmith using the smallest diameter of steel with long brackets to take the weight of the heavy curtains. The result is that the poles look wonderfully out of proportion and contradicts the style of curtains which reflects everything the client and I were trying to achieve!
